For many years we've heard the saying, "Most great American Heavyweights are playing Baseball, Basketball or Football!" And the majority of Americans are obese and out of shape. This must dissuade a lot of them from getting involved in Boxing, and having to lose weight and get in shape. It has long been thought that Boxers have to be in great physical shape, first and foremost. But... could Ruiz's success usher in a new era in USA Boxing? Could we see yet more successful fat Yanks in the Heavyweight division?

The real question is......

Will another Ruiz win inspire more Limeys to give up their dreams of becoming pro fighters when average @ss taco truck drivers from the USA can whip their best?
