Pacquiao started at Minimumweight, while Canelo just won a title at Light Heavyweight.

But if the Light Middleweight version of Pacquiao fought the version of Canelo that fought Mayweather, who would win?
Prime Pacquiao would have beaten that version of canelo...
too much movement, too much speed.. too much angles.. prime pacquiao made old mosley ran away the entire 36 mins... while that same mosley went toe to toe with canelo a few months later. Pac would have exhausted canelo.. while hitting him everywhere.

I always view canelo as someone really good. He’s good at all things but he’s just not special in any of it.
Dude has no 2nd gear at all. he fights at the same pace from start to finish.. even lesser towards the end.

One of the judges scored Mayweather-Canelo a draw and Pacquiao was on the side of bad calls against Bradley and Horn, while Canelo always lands on the good side of close fights. I wonder if Pacquiao would've gotten a decision in that match up even if he deserved it.

He broke Margarito’s orbital bone tho. Damn pac hits hard for a little guy.

        That was an awesome fight.

‘11 PAC cleans Green Nelo’s clock. TKO Finish.

Remember, 2015 Canelo couldn’t even put away or KD Cotto! When ‘09 Manny TKO’d a prime Cotto!

Cotto ran all night from Nelo, fought to survive.

        Manny weight drained Cotto.

        Manny weight drained Margo.

If we're talking about prime Canelo vs Prime Pac at 155 or higher I would pick Canelo for sure.

Princess you forgot the part where Manny drained Margarito. And by 4 pounds, not 2 pounds like Canelo cut.

Typical Pacboys fantasizing over catchweights deficits. The only fighter imo whom could take Canelo the distance keeping all things relative for 152 would be Cotto. Everyone else KO’d. We’re speaking 152. Margarito has like C Level defense. Canelo doesn’t ever get peppered like that at close range
Margarito was a beast and Floyd knew it. Floyd steared clear of Margarito and when Arum kept forcing Floyd to fight Margarito, Floyd bought out of Top Rank contract and fled to Haymon and Goossen. Margarito was a monster back in 2004-2006 and would have slaughtered Floyd who would not have been able to hold him off. Haymon even told Marshall Kaufman, "I would never let Floyd fight Margarito, he was just too big, too strong and never stopped coming."

Margarito in his prime is very underrated. He would have killed Floyd and become the next big Mexican star. But Floyd was too smart and ducked him and the $8m career high payday.

                  - -U Noob?

PAC vs TUE 50-0 was engraved in stone until TUE forfeited the Mar 10 date and MGM venue to fight BALCO Shane later that year so he could pay his taxes.

At the time Pacquiao said he wanted no part of Canelo because he was too big. Should tell you all you need to know.

Don't know what your gloating for with Floyd only daring to go there at 152.
There's no reason why Pac should be fighting at light middleweight anyway. No reason Pac should be fighting so many of the same fighters, common opponents as Floyd coming from 2 or 3 divisions smaller
