Look at Wilder... for all of the supposed genius in his promotion, the biggest peaks in interest for him have been big fights and talk of rematches. Who in the US cared about Wilder v Fury 1? You reckon more will watch the rematch? Fighting is better than marinating.

Every US fan told us no-one was interested in Joshua v Ruiz - now i the rematch is the biggest fight of year!

Marination may well make the fight bigger. But you could have the fight now and make the next fight even bigger! And you're earning big money while building the next fight.

Wilder has left millions on the table to marinate a fight against Joshua. Why? Joshua is proving that even a convincing loss makes the rematch huge.
That is possible! However I doubt either have any regrets from waiting considering the money that was made from it and it still broke records

Marination will never go away in the sport of boxing unfortunately for us Hardcore Boxing Fans who would prefer to have every big match in one night

History shows that Marination not only WORKS more often than it fails but if done correctly everybody involved walks away from it with a lot of $$$ and yes sadly for us $$$ is everybody's Bottom Line in this sport as seen with AJ vs Ruiz II going to Saudi...because of the $$$

Not saying they need to fight for whatever is offered but it's unlikely any other fights are gonna make over $500 mil or whatever no matter how long they try and hype them up. Which is usually the end goal they are trying to emulate.
True, boxers get paid very well but it is also a sport of Greed. Fighters always want more as does Promoters, Managers, Advisers, Networks

I wish things wasn't that way and I wish things was more like the UFC as far as the best fighting the best with no Marination. However, I also know that absolutely nobody in the sport of boxing is going to sacrifice their money to allow that to happen
