Comments Thread For: Haye: Chisora Impressed By Joshua After Sparring Session

David Haye, the manager of heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora, says his boxer was very impressed with the recent body of work by former world champion Anthony Joshua. Chisora joined Joshua in camp for a sparring session, as the British superstar prepares for a scheduled rematch with WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz on December 7th in Saudi Arabia.

CHEESorah is a massive fan boy of joshua.....he acted like his world had come crashing down after Joshua got slapped about, he said something to the effect of “now we’re going to be a laughing stock” in an interview and I remember thinking “who is we???”

What is more important for boxing fans, Unification or Mando defence? Some might argue that sanctioning bodies decide that so I will say, as a fan, lets boycott that organisations sanctions. Hmmm! But this cannot happen as some fans will still support the promoters and in the end who wins, WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF? Let's forget about Unification then!

If WBO belt is on the line again that will mean we have 3 Heavyweight Champs. By the time these champs will navigate through the Mandos with rematch's, if binded by the contracts, and in case the top 4 are still at the helm, they will unify very late in their 30's. They will be considered as 48 year old's.....lol

      In the end who wins?

Chisora wasn't impressed before? Low praise.

I don't give a damn about any of the belts. Most important thing to me is the match ups. Why is Chisora fighting for a belt? He hasn't beating any contender that makes him deserving. I'm cool with the winner if Chisora vs Usyk getting a shot only because of what Usyk did at cruiser.

I agree. They shouldn't be fighting for any belts. The fans are losing out on the unification fight.

I'm kind of the opposite, I couldn't give a **** a$$ about belts or unification. Just because a dude has a belt doesn't mean he's good. If there's some strap involved that allows the fight be scheduled for 12 rather than 10, that's good but otherwise it doesn't move my needle.

Ruiz and Joshua could be fighting for the USBA belt for all I care. Ultimately, I just want to see the winner face off against Wilder or Fury at some point.

The alphabet groups should have a rotation for their mandos. What happened to that, why would two mandos be ordered at the same time?

And in any case a unification should trump a mandatory defense.

This shows how important is a powerful manager. Chisora has lost 9 fights, not beaten anyone particularly relevant, and yet he's on the line for a major belt.

Of course Usyk would frustrate him, but yet he'll have a lot of money on his account.

I'd much prefer to see the likes of Ajagba or Yoka or Dubois, rather than the aging and dull Chisora.
