The penalty/bonus was 100K for the initial adjustment from 154 to 155 best I can tell. There was an additional stipulation that both fighters had to weigh in at 168 the following day.

Ruedboy's saying it was 168 on 'fight night', you saying it was 168 at 3pm.

    Rafael says:

anelo Alvarez knew ahead of time that he would not be able to make the 154-pound weight limit for Saturday night's showdown with Mexican countryman Alfredo Angulo at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, so an increase was negotiated ahead of Friday's weigh in.

In fact it the stipulation was for 6pm ET so take that as you please... 6pm could reasonably be described as 'fight night' though of course that's only 3pm in Vegas which ain't really night at all.

As for the second day weigh in Rafael had this to say:

    And:

So yeah, per this information Canelo passed his second day weight check, so the only penalty he paid was for the original adjustment from 154 to 155 made on the Friday but did come to the ring at 174.

    Hope that helps clarify matters.

TBH, man, I had to read that ish a coupla times myself to get it straight, probably ain't a need to be calling people liars when a simple misunderstanding would explain it, but I ain't followed the full thread of your conversation so maybe I'm missing the intent of you both.
Thanks, no big thing. I got my info from Wickipedia. I'm good with what I wrote.
The gist of my comment was Angulo was coming off a 9 month layoff after an injury.
Not an Alvarez fight brag about.
Foolish to engage with some dudes though. :-)

Canelo wins but he didnt fight Steve Rolls at his prime weight like GGG. You want full credit for beating Steve Rolls, got to meet him at his best weight division.

Golovkin ruined Steve Rolls. He was never the same afterwards.

        Just like Kell Brook.

          Man, that's fkn hilarious.

But, meh... far as I'm concerned Ginger Kid can fight who he wants, I'm more interested in the up n comers anyways.
I’ll xplain it, its an angle bro. This is an easy one, it shines light to 2 or 3 facts about Canelo and it makes GGG look like shyte because face it he fought loads of bums with no expectations from bum fans. But basically I’m letting ppl know that Canelos next fight shouldn’t really matter who he fights because so far he’s been fighting impossible fights back to back and well the haters are just asking too much. I’m also reminding the ggg fan base that since they complain the most, they should fall back cause if it was ggg he would still be KOing no hopers

Well it doesn't matter to me who he fights, so you won't hear me complaining, but I don't reckon your pre-emptive strike will do a damn thing to stop criticism coming Canelo's way. Goes around comes around, man.

Actually that criticism is gonna keep coming from all angles and it’s a motivation for greatness so if it ever stops, he might as well retire. As far as the karma man I ain’t ever seen an A sider be so generous with his oponents purses man. Canelo changing lives and not being stingy about it. It’s only ggg who tried to be a crybaby about his meal ticket and claim to fame

I reckon your boy's gonna have the sport of boxing revolving around him for a few years to come, man. Vegas wanted a star and the WBC wanted a star and they made sure they got one. For me it ain't really about the superstars, man, but y'all enjoy the ride.

Rolls vs Fielding is a fight the fans are waiting for.
But first the "Rock" has to get by the formidable Abdallah Paziwapazi.
