I don't even think Inoue has reached his peak yet. He's only 26 years old and the Donaire fight is definitely a good learning experience for him, and he showed a lot of things that we haven't seen before. I see Inoue improving himself as he gets older.

This was basically the equivalence of Holyfield vs Qawi 1. Inoue will definitely up his game more in his future fights, don't you worry.

Have you ever seen Canelo as hurt as Inoue was in the 9th round? Maybe when he was 19 years old, but since then Canelo has faced bigger opponents, p4p ranked opponents, and we've never seen him in a situation like that.

This is a perfect example of how an "eye test" falls short. He stepped up in competition and he looked vulnerable.

There is a MUCH stronger case for Canelo to be ranked #1 p4p.

His defense is horrendous and face leaking from eye and nose legs buckled multiple times at times had to hold on after eating big shots. He doesn't have the boxing skills of Canelo, Crawford, Loma. Stop overrating power. GGG had insane power fighting bums the moment he stepped up in level of opposition he has yet to get a KO in any of those fights.
Let me let you in on something about boxing. What makes guys get to that next level is they have world class chins and can take punches from other world class guys.

Bums never get to elite status because they can't take said punches.

You can thank me later for the lesson.

I thought the kid won 9-3 or 8-4. He dropped Donaire and won handily. Sure he ate some punches and got wobbled but Nonito came to win, not collect a check and we all know he can crack and is a talented fighter.

More credit should be going to Donaire instead of slighting Inoue, he handled his buisness.

he's at 19 fights and holds LEGITIMATE titles in 3 weight classes

Donaire is naturally bigger and came down to 118 while Inoue started at 2 weights lower.

Let the haters talk. He looked spectacular in there and did what he had to do. The version of Donaire that fought today would beat any other fighter at 118.

            Great fight
