MMA has too much parity for fights to carry any huge significance compared to boxing. U lose in boxing it matters. U lose or win in ufc, who cares. Dana White is the richest most famous person in mma. They admit to running the wwe model. U can cheat at ufc weigh ins and they laugh it off. Boxing has all its issues but it matters. Ufc not so much.

Mayweather was the ****y talented rich bad guy so its not really hard to dislike him. Canelo overall is just an unlikable guy given his controversial fights and rehydration clauses

I do not consider myself a fan of either of them, and yes I’ll admit, they both had some decisions and lucky breaks that seemed like more than just skill or coincidence. With that said, both are talented fighters who did a lot for the sport we love most.

So tell me, why do most people on this site seem to be fanboys or haters? Where are the people like me who aren’t fans and do “smell a rat” in both of their careers, but still respect their ring craft?

Aren't all popular fighters polarizing? How many universally loved fighters are there from this generation? Even guys like Bivol who have no personality traits anyone could possibly dislike get chalked up to being 'boring' for their style, or even lack of personality since some people want a larger than life type dude to root for. I dunno.
