Since I do not care about any of the modern belts or organizations, I could care less if someone is a "regular", "super", "silver" "franchise", "interm", "padwon", "black belt", or "double secret probation" champion. Almost any "B" level or higher boxer has been a champ. It means nothing and accounts for zero in my humble, unimportant opinion. It is just a sanctioning fee cash grab by these useless alphabet organizations I often wonder even appreciate the sport or athletes they are milking.
Who have you fought? How often? How did you perform in the championship rounds of the biggest fights of your career, win or lose? How did you bounce back from a disappointing win, or a loss? That means way more to me. As far as Wilder, at least he takes a stand out there, regardless if it is potentially something that would make things easier on him.
