No no. The superfight is Hopkins vs Canelo. A mix of May Pac and Leonard Durant. Super big fight. Huuuuge

why no one calling for Andre vs Saul?

Highly dominant former champ vs fighter making waves through weight classes

Mayweather was better than Ward, but Alvarez is more skilled than pacquiao. So it all levels out.

Everybody benefits from this superfight including the fans. 1st half of 2021 would be perfect.

      Can Ward still make 175.
Nothing is like Floyd/Manny from this era. The 2 biggest stars ( and 2 of the top 5 all time money generators) fighting is not the case if Canelo /Ward is made

Superfight?? No, more hype than anything. Ward would be coming out of retirement (not active for a long while) and Canelo, as usual, would have the upper hand. Canelo team would most likely slap Ward with a rehydration clause also. Plus, Ward is not in his prime, perfect for Canelo. (link explains it all in detail)

I hope he doesn't come back and I doubt he will. I never thought he was as good as most thought. I thought he was a very fighter who was horrible to watch. He was clincher and a illegal hold an hit wrestling mauler better suited to the MMA where his tactics are legal. I think Canelo would knock him out. I would much rather see Canelo fight Bivol, Callum Smith, GGG, Benavidez or Beterbiev. Canelo only fights twice a year. I don't want an ugly fight with Ward. I know I am in the minority and many think it's a great idea and a great fight.

Mayweather was also a retired guy when Merchant pitched the idea of Floyd-manny. That mofo blew up despite Floyd's retirement at the time.

              He loses wide to Canelo
Ward is a thug on the inside. Hardest fight for him so far a power punching boxer. Different from Canelo style

              Alvarez is a pressuring counterpuncher.

He's not a moving counterpuncher unlike Mayweather. Likes to come forward doesn't hold the line the way Marquez counterpunching does.

Fight in 1st half of 2021.

Say Ward fights a contender next year followed by whoever for a belt.

Ward is retired so we shouldn’t demand he returns. Saying that, I do think he’d beat Canelo, that’s a really tough style for Canelo to deal with IMO. However, we don’t know what kind of shape Ward would be in physically after 3 years out and at 35/36 years old.

yep the age gap is larger than Mayweather-manny and should greatly benefit the man moving up in weight this time around

never... when ward was still active, he wasnt even a draw. what makes you think it will be any different now? and plus, ward/canelo doesnt have the story line that pac/floyd had... for years, pac was crown as the only guy that can beat floyd. this is why the fight was so big. there's nothing between ward and canelo to make for an interesting story line.
