Comments Thread For: Hearn: Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia Are Huge Fights For Haney

A few weeks ago, Haney - who had the interim-title - was elevated to the full championship status - after the World Boxing Council approved Vasiliy Lomachenko's request to become the "Franchise" champion - which is not thing more than some honorable recognition by the sanctioning body.

I'm a fan of Haney but this WBC "Interem" belt (not world title) he Won against a guy that nobody's ever heard of is really getting to his head.

Not normally a big fan of the lightweight division but there is some serious talent converging there right now. Next year should answer a lot of questions

Haney is a laughingstock for fighting on some YouTubers' undercard. What a huge blunder by Hearn to think putting him in a mismatch on this card would raise his profile.
