Masvidal would get knocked out inside four, especially if CCC has that clen on board, but even a clean CCC can KO him! Hell, put Kovalev against this dude and he'll get beat too!
What about in a backyard fistfight ?

I say let the fight happen. I'd love to see ANOTHER UFC jabroni get demolished. But this would be worse than May-Conor. Canelo wouldn't run, he'd hit that chump with one body shot and it would be over.

The Conor-May thing was a good money maker because both guys were stars in their sports. But Masvidal is nothing more than a street fighter; has no huge fan base. Granted, he'd kill Canelo in the octagon but that's not what we're talking about.

And yes, I have no idea why they made Canelo and Kovalev wait for that. Looked weak af
you're right, Diaz obviously has a following but their event was big because if both of them and the intrigue of watching them both fight each other. And yeah, Canelo and Kovalev waiting was corny

here are the props, he moved up 2 weight classes and beat a credible champion by ko. Kovalev was a deserving champion unlike the Rocky fielding scam. But.....as I said before the fight, Kovalev's age, wear and tear, and only having 10 weeks in between fights was going to make it tough for Kovalev to last 12. I also still stand by saying that there were 7-8 more dangerous fighters available from 160-175 and that hasn't changed.

Okay fair enough. But in all honesty i think having only ten weeks in between fights is an advantage to fighters as long as they don't do it often... Kovalev was in shape when he started training for Canelo so he didn't really have to focus on cutting weight.
With that being said i think this version of Canelo beats this version of Kovalev no matter how many weeks Kovalev had in between fights...

it can serve as an advantage for young fighters when it comes to their development, staying disciplined and getting experience. For someone who is 36 and has already been in some wars, it's not likely to serve much benefit. I do agree that I don't think rest would've made a huge difference, but his stamina may have been better. He fought like he didn't want to tire from the start.

Homeboy sees the peanuts he’s making to get rocked in the octogon and wants a taste of that boxing money.
Sorry, Lord Dana won’t let his guys take any more L’s to boxers!!
