Boxing as a sport is an interest of mine. Matchmaking has a big effect on the health of the sport.
So I comment when I think something is poor or uninteresting matchmaking, and I comment on what I think are good match ups.
I would have thought that was a fairly ordinary occurrence. Boxing fans do it all the time, I think most sport fans do so.
I don't know what it was about me doing so which caught your attention in the way it did.
What is weird about a boxing fan saying which fights he thinks would be good and which ones would be bad?Comment

36yrs of age? Yeah, that’s Canelo’s range when it comes to choosing past above average fighters. But I can guarantee, “Ward” ain’t a name Oscar nor Canelo will be calling out! Why? Tooooo much risk involved!
Canelo’s patented ‘jumping in’ with combinations would add up to legal clinching on Wards side of strategy, similar to how Brooke legally clinched a desperate bull rushing Porter, and similar to how Floyd ‘ward’ed off an over confident offensive grappler in Hatton!
If Canelo stays on his side of the fence with his patented flow of good combinations? Ward can match and surpass him easily with height & movement ...I got an old 36yr old Ward embarrassing the young shorter kid, just like the 36yr old Mayweather did....yet with different strategies of course... 36yrs of age ain’t old if you’ve got legitimate skills....
If Oscar calls out Ward? He would no doubt be under the influence of drugs - that would be booze included...Comment

Ward easily beat Rangy Range Finder Kovalev. Young Kovalev beat/s anyone his size and strength with “range.” Kovalev’s inside game SUCKS, ****** and is still SUCKING! It ****** his entire career with the luxury of no one ever reaching his untouched rib cage area.
Kovalev had that Mike Tyson mystique that had opponents shook even before entering the ring...and Kovalev knew it. Ward CRUSHED that fear factor that Mr. Range Finder thrived on; which is why Kovalev’s been strangely ‘normal’ ever since the Ward fight...
Ward was never one of those average dudes hung up on the hype and intimidation of his potential opponent. Ward ‘did’ get away with one low blow when Kovalev froze in the fetal position of puss-ness and surrender. EVERY other shot before was where the ref said it would be OK.
Opportunist Canelo eventually saw what Ward saw, which is the only reason why he called out old past prime range finder: for a cool easy 36mil payday!
