I think the cross promotion in general is good...putting those two events on the same night may not be a great idea, but in the end I don't think it turned out too bad anyway...I certainly am glad I get DAZN fights for $100 a year rather than paying $100 per PPV...UFC has better undercards though.

Duran is a fan of Canelo, he picked him to beat GGG. He always praises Canelo and even backed him up saying he doesn't get the respect he deserves even in Mexico.

Duran shows up often for big boxing matches and he attends a lot of UFC fights as well. Just because he wanted to attend a UFC fight instead of a boxing match doesn't mean he's jealous or bitter against today's top boxers.

Roberto Duran, Dwayne Johnson, and Donald Trump all attended UFC 244 over Canelo fight. DAZN has to delay the Canelo fight until Diaz Masvidal was over.

Duran probably went to the fight for the same exact reason Trump did(aside from getting lynched by Nelos fanbase.): because it was in New York!! Canelo was fighting in Vegas!!
