  • This polarizing bs in boxing needs to die. Its becoming childish

We cant even discuss anything, withought people assuming u apart of "the other side" then using every fact and disregarding anything against your side to "win"

    Question win what??
This BS has turned into American
    politics.

Perfect example.... U arguing about two active fighters then someone comes outta knowhere and insults a retired fighter or insults a promoter they assumed you pledged allegiance to.

Are we back in the 3rd grade?

I'm with you man, this is a boxing/combat sports site and there is so much nonsense ethnic hate that you can't even have a relevant convo about the beauty of the sport, it speaks to the ignorance of our community.
If you're a boxing fan because there is a fighter from your country or ethnic group that's cool but take the time to learn about the amazing history of this sport and lear to appreciate the overall culture.
Hispanic fighters are not better than black fighters, black fighters are not better than white fighters, Mexican fighters are not better than Puerto Rican fighters, it's all relative and victories are a result of hard work, technique, physical attributes, dedication and intelligence, all these fighters are doing it for themselves first and they give it to you! The audience, to enjoy, to support and hopefully to appreciate.

I agree with what you’re saying but it’s also part of the fun isn’t it?

I think have the reason most come on this forum is for the disagreements and whatnot

It’s really the best way to get excited about a fight. Arguing amongst each other until it happens

The fans, the polarising opinions and allegiance to whoever they chose to support are not the problem with boxing. The problem with boxing is the actual politics that prevent the fights happening, the ones we argue about but all want to see

I agree it can be a bit tedious, sifting through a lot of nonsense on here to find a good discussion but really that’s the nature of Internet forums. If you’re looking for intelligent and harmonious debates, then Internet forums are not really the place to be.

        I agree with you KillaMane

I am so tired of the subtle racism and “our guy’s better than yours” attitude...

It goes many different ways; no ethnicity or race is guiltless.

I try to appreciate all of the boxers for the great sacrifices they make and just appreciate the beauty of this ancient sport we love. I also appreciate the many different nationalities and people of different ethnic backgrounds who have contributed to the sport’s rich history and greatness.. some of them looked like me, or people in my family ... some of them not, but I can appreciate them all the same.

          When you have folks like:

          About***ntime
          Roadblock
          Curtis Harper

Just trolling all day instead of indulging in actual boxing debates, that’s what happens...

Its one thing to do that with the fighters but when it spilled into Promoters, networks it got really sad....

The fact that u have people siding with shady promoters to shyt on rival promoters is just sad.

Newsflash!!! They all are shady lmao

It's an uphill struggle, man, but best thing you can do is avoid trashing the fighters and as much as possible treat other posters with respect, you ain't gonna stop these idiots going at one another but you can do your best not to get dragged in or exacerbate that shit.

Boxing fans are a dying goddamn breed these days and you'd think the one thing we all got in common would kinda give us some kinda unity, but all you see is 80 - 90% agenda driven factionalist trash on here these days. Damn shame.

One of the reasons I've been so keen on keeping the damn Pick Em going is it's one of the few places on NSB (along with the RBRs) where dudes can just have a bit of fun and banter away from the toxic bullchit that plagues the rest of the forum, remind ourselves that at the end of the day we're all here because we love the sport.

You're assuming some of these posters made it to 3rd grade.

Welcome to the new reality of boxing scene. I aired out the mods over this on Saturday. You have dudes with two or three alts a piece ruining this site. Look at how many folks no longer post here because of it.
