Canelo has jumped 3 divisions in his last 5 fights.
He has yet to lose one. Golovkin has lost arguably 4 of them.Comment

Not if he wanted to keep the proposed Canelo rematch date in September. If that fell through he planned on fighting Billy Jo Saunders in August. They had a signed contract and everything.
spare me the BS
Andy Ruiz was also a replacement. Golovkin "chose" to keep that date and fight on... I specifically remember him not having to do that. He could've found a more valuable opponent in the meantime. But like everything else, there's always some captain save a hoe rhetoric with you dudes when defending him.
People on this site are annoiting Canelo to be some all time great after ducking 3 divisions worth of tough fights to take on a guy who lost 3 of his previous 7 fights and two by KO. You put a guy on a pedestal and he's going to have shots taken at him. This is hilarious considering how you guys scrutinize CaneloLast edited by yankees7448; 11-05-2019, 11:33 PM.Comment

I think GGG should take initiative and step up to 168, get accustomed to the weight and try to pick up a belt there. It's very unlikely Canelo returns to 160 and no doubt he's going to mandate that whoever he fights at 168, has to have a belt. Of course it's all BS but Canelo is the cashcow and he dictates terms i guess.Comment

Zero interest in this fight.
I don't mind when fighters, who are on the verge of retiring, take a couple of easy paydays. It's a circus sideshow fight. Damned annoying when fighters waste their prime doing that kind of thing. Forgivable when fighters who are old and planning their exit do it.
But as an actual fight, I just don't care for it at all.Comment

Moving the goalposts eh...the original discussion, which you butted into
....was about the level of competition between GGG and Canelo...and how it is pretty clear that GGG and Canelo have more or less faced the same level of competition, certainly in their last six fights.
And bro lol...by that logic I could say that, legitimately imo, Canelo is 4-2 in his 6 fights...and GGG would honestly be 6-0, with the SD fight being the only somewhat debatable one in there...I had it 6-6 live but 7-5 for GGG on rewatch.
Can't see how anyone can give Nelo anything more than 5 rounds in either fight vs GGG...and Danny did better vs Nelo than vs GGG, I think that was pretty clear...I think it was 8-4 vs GGG and 7-5 vs Nelo, Danny losing both, plus GGG with the KD of course.
Also GGG jumped a division technically to fight Rolls...just as impressive really as Canelo jumping to 168 to fight Fielding man....trying to really big-up Canelo's fight vs Fielding, I mean what lol...come on bro.
But you can tell yourself whatever ya want my friend
