Could this work in Boxing today?

Both boxers get 5 million a piece but the winner gets an additional 10 million. No one would get the 10 million in case of a draw. Would that make the big fights even bigger if things were done this way?

I know that there are other things to take into consideration but is it possible to have a situation where the winner gets more money than the loser.

The promoters will never go for it. Also, if you think there is a lot of crying of "ROBBERY" now, imagine the first close fight when one guy loses a few million on the opinion of 3 soft headed old men.

Really, I've always liked the idea but definitely there's a downside.

To much corruption would take place ,you could do it a new established boxing league of some sorts with no current sanctioning body involved . Dana White could do this for his new blue print if hes still pursuing that.

Theres just to many organizations and dirt hands in the current model to say this guy would get this if he wins.

It really depends on the involved parties negotiating a fight. However, history tells us the "A" side dictates terms and arrangements like that don't really come into play to make fights happen.
