Floyd had fully evolved when he beat Alvarez
Yeah I think the Corrales performance is right up there also, mainly cause it’s the only time in Floyd’s career were he was a betting underdog and there was also no catchweight or other A-side BS. I thought he’d beat him on points but to dominate and stop him was a huge statement and probably the moment we all realised Floyd was a P4P type fighter.

Good point about fully evolving, I feel we’re starting to see the fully evolved version of Canelo now. His ring IQ and ring generalship are fantastic now, whilst they were two things Floyd really exposed back in 13’.

Well there’s no way canelo has improved in the last 6 years, that’s for sure.

Canelo is a better fighter now I think than when he fought Floyd. He's picked up little things here and there over the years. His head and upper body movement are better and he's more patient.

Plus he wasn't fighting one of the best defensive fighters ever, just a faded guy that was bigger than him.

An outboxing strategy suits the taller man especially if he packs an excellent jab
