Is Canelo Alvarez the most hated Mexican fighter in boxing?

Has there been other Mexican fighters that has been this hated before? I don't think I've seen any other Mexican boxer that gets this amount of criticisms from boxing fans. I'm not sure that even Margarito and ODLH have reached to this level of being this hated. But why is Canelo hated so much when he's made a statement on being one of, if not THE best fighter P4P right now?

    PEDs?
    Arrogant/Diva personality?
    Controversial fights?

I'm a fan. Like his style and he delivers big fights to the sport.

My one beef is how the judges are almost always super rigged in his favor

Margarito and it’s not even close..like people wanted to body bag margarito. Nobody hates Canelo, they dislike him and there is a world of difference between the word hate and dislike...I think hate as a word gets thrown around so often people forget what it actually means.

Canelo is a good fighter. It's his facial expression that I don't like. He always gave me an idea of presumptuousness even when he acts modest.

He'll never be hated by yours truly as much as I used to hate his promoter. Who, right now, causes pity in me when I look at his current condition (except for money, that is).

Why is being honest about a fighter considered hate? Canelo tested positive for PED's and was in on the BS emeritus decision. He deserves criticism for his actions. If posters hate him now that he cheated, I don't see what the issue is. It's his fault.

As for the Lara, trout, and GGG1 fights, there are always some sour g****s from losers but I think you can fairly point out the scoring in the Lara and GGG fights were questionable and the open scoring announcement that had Canelo way ahead of Trout was also questionable.

Yes he gets some irrational hate but every top p4p boxer does. That should just be ignored. As for real hate, I don't think he is anywhere near as hated as Margs.

Go back and read the two years after Mosley and co caught him with plaster..I think Pacquiao breaking his face is the only thing that calmed people down.

Put down the tissue box and enjoy Canelo!

Fûçk the haters, he’ll have them even when it was explained how Clenbutrol doesn’t boost any of your capabilities and that it wasn’t enough to compensate his performance!

He’ll be disliked even if he unified 175 or 168!

Greatness the trade off for it is enormous amount of jealousy and criticism!

Canelo says he knows people will always say something negative regardless, he shouldn’t care and neither should you!

Oscar De La Hoya if we’re counting mexican-Americans was much more hated than Canelo Alvarez.
