Canelo faced and beat way better competition than Crawford or Loma. It's not even close.

You can put Morales above Marquez, cool, but barrera is not on Marquez’ level.

Morales would probably not have lost to Chris John but he lost to Raheem. I doubt marquez would struggle with raheem.

Marquez-John was close btw but the hometown fighter got the benefit of a doubt.

Lomachenko's best win is Rigondeaux at 130, which would be like Canelo's best win being over Pacquiao at 160. Crawford's best win is one of Gamboa/Postol/Indongo/Horn, which would be like judging Canelo based on his performances against a lesser version of Cotto/Fielding/Liam Smith/JCC Jr.

What Canelo just did is what Lomachenko refuses to do (fight Pacquiao at 147) and what Crawford hasn't publicly considered doing (fight GGG at 160). Canelo just did an equivalent of that and stopped him. He is the best P4P.
        Exactly this ^

we've already corrected him on that, Gary Russell Jr was Lomas best win, not Rigo.

Not sure how this is news. Canelo was a 5-1 favorite over Kovalev. This should not have a big impact on his P4P standing.

It's called the 'eye test'. It runs rampant around NSB thanks to Max Kellerman, Stephen A. Smith and Teddy Atlas.

You must be on some serious drugs over there. Duran would have probably stopped chavez, and arguello would have outboxed him for 12rds. Chavez always had trouble against good boxers, like mildrick taylor, and sweat pea. Honestly I think Aaron Pryor would have stopped him on his feet TKO, but that's just my opinion. Chavez will always be considered one of the Greatest Mexican fighters ever, just like Canelo will be one day too imo, but there were better mexican fighter's like the ones I mentioned earlier, taking nothing away from Chavez, he was a GREAT fighter and one of the Greatest Mexican Fighters to walk to earth, but you can make clear arguement for those others beating him. Finito Lopez was a better fighter than Chavez in all areas, and will always be ranked higher than chavez in my book, as well as Marquez, Barrerra,Morales, and Sanchez.

Here we go with a race baiter. It has nothing to do with Color nor ethnicity, I just know boxing, and Crawford is on a whole another level then canelo.

Has Marquez ever heaped praise on a Mexican fighter?

It seems every time he speaks on a Mexican fighter its always in a salty and shady way.
