Beterbiev fights very similar to Golovkin and Canelo had massive troubles with Golovkin. Some still believe Golovkin won the first fight.

Now Beterbiev has an equal amateur pedigree, but he's bigger, stronger and a hits way harder than Golovkin. Plus he's a fresher fighter and younger. He fought in the Olympics as a HW. He would walk Canelo down, as Golovkin did, and hurt him very badly.

Unlike Kovalev, who fights as though he's been neutered, Beterbiev isn't going to be afraid to throw power punches.

Had Canelo dominated Golovkin and left him for dead, I'd agree with you. But the similarties in the fight style and matchup are tough to look past

In all seriousness, Nelo looked good last night...but I feel Kovalev has probably slipped more than we realize, as far as punch power and punch resistance...I think Beterbiev or even another formidable 175 fighter may be too much for Nelo at this time.
I'm sorry, but Beterbiev has not fought anybody as skilled as Canelo in the amateurs or professional ranks. Canelo has so many dimensions to his game that it is hard to pick against him. Beterbiev has never had to go 12 hard rounds...(Enrico Koelling took him to the 12th and though Beterbiev won, he was faded at the end). He's never been countered and hit constantly to the body. I believe he will shell up like GGG and Kovalev and lose a decision.

Its hard to really judge Canelo at LHW since he fought the apiration of Kov. Lol

Bro he fought Usyk 3 times in the amateurs...and he may lose a decision on the cards but whether he really wins the fight in my and many others' eyes is a different story anyway.

I don't think Kovalev has the power anymore, and to go along with his other issues, I think he was ripe for the picking...Beterbiev imo seems to be a whole different can of worms...try and stand in front of him for 12 rounds at your peril.

If they fought it would very possibly go the way of the first Canelo-GGG fight, where Canelo is hesitant to engage and Beterbiev is more or less toying with him.

There is no shame in saying that a top MW can't go up 2 weight divisions and beat a top 175 pounder.

Yeah I think there is good reason to view Artur as a younger, fresher 175 type version of GGG...which gave Canelo 2 tough fights, and I thought 2 losses...if Canelo can hang with him, I want some of those PEDs he's got

Canelo is definatly a light heavy now. He beat a top 3 LHW who had a belt and who is a big puncher who was backing up the whole fight. A fight with Beterbiev is on the cards and should happen.

I know Canelo will duck it though like the gutless coward him and chicken de la hoya are.

kind of sad that mexicans today consider a pale as casper ginger haired man as some kind of brown native american. lol. identity crisis much? its like the london ****** population thinking they are the original british people responsible for the magna carta . quite sad. quite sad indeed lol. we wuzzing taken to new heights!

also fun trivia: is the music that canelo plays native american music or did it arrive with the spanish/europeans? also, are sombreros a part of native american culture or did it arrive with the spanish europeans? modern day mexicans have such an indentity crisis, very few of you are actually majority native american/mesoamerican and you lash out against white europeans that aren't even spanish lol. if you are a pale skinned mexican YOU are the descendant of the spanish conquistadors and should deport yourself back to spain and leave mexico for the brown skinned mesoamericans

Mexicans consider Ruiz their champ and he’s American. Ruiz is really a Mix-ican like De La Hoya. Canelo is 100% Mexican. The problem they have is his standing among the greats who paved the way before him.

mexican isnt a race, its a nationality. a brown ****** man from saudi arabia could have a child in mexico with his 100% brown saudi arabian ****** wife and their child would be 100% mexican.

i think kid bazooka making this about race is hilarious, because canelo is white. people seem to confuse 'mexican' with 'mesoamerican/native american'. the original 'mexicans' aka the people who lived on the land that is in current day mexico/usa were brown skinned mesoamericans.
