Roy looked pretty good. Throw more punches than vs Tarver in their last fight. he game himself a C. I'd give him a B. Scroll down and you will see Jack's thread for the Roy-Ajamu download and also look for DLT's thread that asks 'How did Roy look?'...

Copy and paste of what I wrote:

Roy lost the 1st round when Baid bum-rushed him. I was scared...I honestly felt Roy would probably lose.

But Roy kind of surprised me, and that was because of two things: Roy was pretty confident and in good (not great) shape & Badi is not as good as Tarver or Johnson. I would call Tarver and Johnson B+ fighters, while Ajamu is a C fighter.

Roy was pretty flat-footed. If you rated his footwork a 10 in his prime, I'd say it was a 6.5 for this fight. Compared to the young Roy Jones, his speed was a 8 (still pretty damn good) and power a 8. So basically he's slid a bit and you can tell. But he threw some nice combos now and then, and worked the body very well indeed. I mean I'm sure more than half his throws were for body shots.

He still is fighting hands-down style and Joe C. or Glen could make him pay for that. His jab looked good though and you can tell he is definitely using it more now.

Like B HOP said, he'd come out of the grave for BIG $! But I don't think that's going to happen unless Jones wins a bunch of good fights and people actually think he's back and now that HOP is 41 Jones doesn't really have the kind of time to bring back his aura even if he wanted to.

No doubt, RJJ is lookin' good, but he's far from back & I don't think he'll ever be, but if he wants to he still has a big enough name to get one of those fight, but it'll probably be his last,at least I hope it will be. I'm not hating but I think alot of people don't want to see him get hurt, He may still have impressive speed & agility but unlike before it's not enough to alow him to get away with his technical flaws, I know B-Hop would hit him with a shot like the one Tarver dropped him with several times.

Yeah Jones have doesn't have any technical skills to fall back on. That is why fighters who are aged like James Toney can still be a great fighter that could hang with the young guys because he has technical skills like how he rolls away from punches.
