White has ruined the UFC. BTW they have only 1 star and every time they brag about having a great fighter he or she gets their asses beat repeatedly. The problem with MMA is there is no way for a fighter to be great at several different disciplines. They either start learning to box too late or learning some other discipline too late. Another reason UFC sucks is White cares more about the short term of UFC than the long term of the company that is why he puts people like CM Punk and Greg Hardy on his main cards. These reasons are why they do not have great fighters. Right now they only have 1 legit star. Until they solve thses problems they will never have a Canelo, Floyd, or Paquiao type star.

Dana has ruined the ufc? lol. He pretty much created it. It was some underground state fairgrounds level thing when he took over.

I think ufc is great because they've avoided having a floyd or canelo situation.

The entire goal of fight promoting in a league/roster format is to avoid having a fighter who makes special weight/equipment/scheduling demands to pad his record & prevents other talent from breaking through.

Fighting over "stars" is a boxing thing because individual promoters want to own a "star". It doesn't necessarily benefit the sport as a whole & often damages it.

I used to think De La Hoya was a good guy but I saw a Sky TV show where Johnny Nelson and Adam Smith visited him at his office and he showed them a statue(I think?) that he got every boxing champion who visited to sign.

But then he totally blanked Nelson! Nelson was world Crusierweight champion for for 6 years. No way could De La Hoya not know that. He also hardly spoke to Nelson the whole time but chatted away happily to Adam Smith.
