Like TS mentioned he had hard fights with Lara and Trout. He arguably lost his draw the GGG and the second fight was close.

He is moving up to 168 and 175 and fighting much bigger men and not having to sacrifice anything? He never looked shook by Kovalevs shots and he stopped him not with accumulation but with two shots.

Mosley said post fight that he hit hard as Mayweather. Sure he’s bigger and stronger now but still.
i tihnk he never looked shook because he never really took a full force punch to the head, he was full peekaboo for 99% of the fight.

The trick to seeing corruption everywhere is to open your eyes.

          I disagree. Canelo IS great.

If you followed his career you would see how he is the product of consistent hard work and constant learning on the job. It helps that he has been with the same trainers since he was a teenager and that they have all stayed loyal to each other.

Canelo is a good fighter but FAR from great. I also see him peaked out lately it seems. FOR THE FOLKS MAKING HIM #1 P4P JUST BECAUSE OF THIS KOVALEV, man these cat's dont know $h!T about boxing.

He's not #1 just because of Kovalev.

It's because of Kovalev AND his other body of work.

I don’t think his team staying together has much to do with Canelo’s greatness. Rather, it’s that the team he has is very good, and they have a superior athlete like Canelo to work with. Plenty of fighters rise up the ranks, but have coaches who taught them in flawed ways. The fighter reaches a certain level because they are great natural athletes, but cannot reach their full potential because they were not taught right from the beginning. I suspect Canelo was taught well. He appears to do almost everything well.

Of course the Reynosos being good has a lot to do with it as well. People don't know that Chepo had 4 world champions before Canelo.

I don't agree with you people saying that Canelo is great, as he has yet to fight Andrade. Fighting Golovkin and Kovalev is one thing, those guys are lame, but Andrade is quite a challenge. Canelo is good, though, no denying that.

You forgot to mention how old GGG and Kovalev are.

That’s a big part of why Canelo fighting on even terms with them is embarrassing.
