Canelo isn't a great boxer at all. He lost to Lara, he lost to Trout, he lost every round against Mayweather. It just so happens that Golovkin and Kovalev are shytty hypejobs and they never deserved their hype to begin with. If they couldn't even handle this little ginger boy moving up in weight to fight them, then... I mean... Come on. Golovkin spent his entire career hiding at 160 lb and Kovalev's best win is a 50 years old Hopkins. Shouldn't this be a lesson to STOP hyping all of these Eastern fackots whenever they win a belt? To think that Erislandy Lara's leftovers would move up and completely embarass these "dangerous Eastern warriors" so badly. I can't wait for Canelo to humiliate Usyk in the future, will be hilarious.
Canelo isn't great

I thought Golovkin beat him twice. It seems that you are too American for your own good. How dare anybody say European things can be as good as American things.Comment

Honestly, size was the excuse to give him both GGG wins. The excuse was GGG was too big to let Nelo be so active, not necessarily that Nelo actually won either bout.
With that in mind, I had no doubt Kovalev would beat Canelo....he didn't....I don't know what to say.
I have to catch the fight myself, but Nelo wasn't really bringing his power above 154 that well.....how could he knock out Kovalev????Comment

IMO he’s on PEDs. I know this going to make me sound like a hater but it’s just my opinion.
Like TS mentioned he had hard fights with Lara and Trout. He arguably lost his draw the GGG and the second fight was close.
He is moving up to 168 and 175 and fighting much bigger men and not having to sacrifice anything? He never looked shook by Kovalevs shots and he stopped him not with accumulation but with two shots.
Mosley said post fight that he hit hard as Mayweather. Sure he’s bigger and stronger now but still.Comment

It is without a doubt unquestionable that Kovalev is old and shot to bits, but to say he was never that good? Come on mayn.Canelo isn't a great boxer at all. He wasn't great, but he was at least VERY good.
GGG was a hype job yes, we'll honestly never know if Canelo caught him slipping or not, but based on the Brook fight it does seem he was really a hype job, granted, he is elite level, but nowhere near what he was hyped up to be.
Having said that, I don't see Charlo, Andrade, Jacobs, Derevyanchenko, or GGG challenging any light heavyweights. In fact, apart from Jacobs and Derevyanchenko, all those guys are guilty of ducking other elite competition, Charlo was called out by Benevides and didn't want to hear none of it.
People keep saying Canelo cherry picked Kovalev, but would GGG, Charlo, Andrade etcetera have had the guts to "cherry pick" Kovalev?
Seriously doubt it.Comment

They might be more willing if they already had a W against the top dude in the division they were in, a few $100 mil in the bank and a cast Iron guarantee from the WBC that he'll keep getting big fights and big paydays win or lose. Few fighters are in that position however. It is without a doubt unquestionable that Kovalev is old and shot to bits, but to say he was never that good? Come on mayn.
