It’s the guys who would give the little old guys setting the betting lines in Vegas fits.

To name a few... Andrade, Benevidez, Beterbiev, Bivol, Charlo. Guys with skills, youth, speed and power.

Picking the guy we know you can beat and living off the fear of a punchers chance was great for a Manny Pacquiao because he was fighting real in prime killers.

This just looks like protective match making. We know he can beat never been and has been flat footed plodders. When is he going to get in with the guys who have similar youth, skills and desire to win. Their out there, why don’t these fights happen and keep happening?

To the fighter protection agency, I was a supporter of Canelo back when many of his current fan base didn’t even accept him. Then you got onboard for the Mayweather fight and jumped ship again after the embarrassing loss. But I knew the kid was talented.

However... this Canelo looks great but is clearly avoiding fights against young champions and slick fighters with movement.

No one is accepting fake legacy. Just because the Patriots are a great team it doesn’t mean they should never have to play in a Super Bowl every year.

No more predictable fights. Kovalev has bee knocked out three times in his last 5 fights. He is riding off the fumes of past mystique. We all knew the KO was coming when the fight was pursued, waited patiently for and signed.

Kovalev has been shot since Ward destroyed him and many tried to steal credit. What has Canelo truly accomplished at 168 or 175? At 160 he did great work against GGG and Jacobs and then avoids the one style that gave him trouble in the past. Is Canelo better a better fighter past Mayweather and Lara or a better match maker?

Great win against a once great fighter throwing pitty pat punches for a retirement check. Fight the best to be great. With all these 50/50 fights waiting and remarkable ability to get a favorable score card why are we watching him fight Fielding and Kovalev past-prime?

Canelo should also avoid Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder like a plague. Canelo is not a natural light heavyweight. He is a small middleweight. How many other middleweights are challenging 168 lb champs, not to mention challenging 175 lb guys? Give credit where credit is due

At 3 to 1 the fight was very predictable, a forgone conclusion. Was anyone really surprised and where is the challenge in that?

There are serious P4P fights to be made, this just wasn't one of them.



Frankly, I watched Nightmare Before Christmas with my kids. It was predictable silliness but that's all it was supposed to be.

I am not hating, I have complimented Canelo as a fighter through out this thread. I supported him before and after the Mayweather embarrassment when many of you left his career to die.

But I call it like it s. And as soon as you run out of rebuttals I am now hating? No brother, I am simply saying all fighters have an obligation to prove themselves against the best.

And why would anyone say predictable fights are better for fighter legacy than winning compelling matchups.
