This title is very misleading....

When you read it, you would think that Kovalev weighed in at 180.

When in reality, he stripped down and was 1/4 over at 175.25 and then took a few minutes to shed the last 1/4 lb.

The day or the morning? Second morning weigh in at 185 and then he has all day to gain some more I think. I personally don’t think that it would bother Kovalev.

Damn, just saw canelo has a rehydration clause for this fight which means Kov struggling to make weight will be an issue. I thought Canelo was chasing greatness but not only has he picked an older fighter who's been ko'd a couple of times recently and just fought 10 weeks ago, now he hit him with a rehydration clause to keep him drained? Not that big difference in size, Kovalev 2 inches taller and 2 inch longer reach.
It's almost the same as lomachenko vs several of his opponents. For example Luke Campbell are 2 inches taller and has 6 inches longer reach + a lot heavier then Loma

good point... but Campbell is not a proven killer who dragged Andre Ward through hell and back

this is a very tough fight for Canelo

I think that he will win, but really struggle... and the decision could be close and controversial
