You'd have to ask Golden Boy, my guess is they were uninformed, same as people on this forum.

The Canelo haters don’t realize that Sergey knows the 10lb cap the morning of IBF weigh ins. Meaning, he would be confident in doing it again...

What’s funnier is that everyone saying that Kovalev is draining for LHW... well then why isn’t he at Cruiserweight?!

Is Kovalev a boxer whom can’t add weight yet drains for LHW.

And lastly, the Canelo haters don’t realize that Kovalev has a choice, just like Jacobs. If he chooses to be over then he’s penalized as was Jacobs. Though surely Main Events and Kovalev must feel they can maintain IBF morning weight.

      WAR DAZN!

people that defend this are retards
I know, it's such a hilarious disingenuous defense, as though virtually anyone wouldn't concede to all manner of BS terms for the kind of life changing payout a Canelo fight offers. Oh, do Kov/Jacobs/Fielding et al fail some kind of boxing "purity test" for agreeing to some questionable BS for ten generations' worth of college tuition? That they ultimately agree to it just as you, I or anyone's fat ass would doesn't legitimize it as something beyond reproach...just something you can point to and understand why it was agreed to given the circumstances.

Like I said you'd have to ask Golden Boy why they put the stipulation in the contract.

All I know is Kovalev stated in a Russian interview earlier this year that he weighed 180lbs on fight night vs Eleider Alvarez. Then you see him repeat it again in the video I posted.

If you want to call him a liar you're free to do so, but it's been documented that he changed his diet after switching to McGirt.

But it's alright when Canelo got to do that against several opponents...

People aren’t focused on the question. Will Kovalev forfeit some of his purse the way Jacobs did for both GGG and Canelo?!

Kovalev hit 176.+ with all his traditional gear on, necklace and briefs...maybe he went and took a huge leak right after and came back proper. Many thought including myself that he Krusher would be 185-190...

I just don’t see how the 10lb morning of would affect him since he gone done before plenty of times. BUT what if Kovalev is 186 the morning of given the bad calibration we just saw. Lol

I’m just joking. Just throwing bait for the Canelo haters! Something for them to think on till Fight night

And Crawford could hit 153lb on fight from 135. Crawford is P4P #1. Keep eating them apples boy!

Yeah, he dwarfed Gamboa. Doesn't change what Canelo did to opponents.
