DAZN bends the knee to UFC

DAZN killing it again.

So they ****ed around and prevented Canelo fighting on one of the two big fight weekends.

When they finally figured out how bad they screwed up they get Canelo a late fall fight and choose Nov 2nd. They choose this date mostly because they wanted anyone to subscribe for this fight to have to renew if they wanted the AJ Ruiz 2 fight in Dec.

The December 7th date being a horriable date for a big fight as this is college football championship weekend. All the sports media will be talking about those games and the NFL with no room to push the fight if they wanted too.

I guess what I am getting at is DAZN just figured out UFC is an issue? If they thought it would be an issue 2 months ago why not have the fight next weekend?

I'm done arguing with all of you about this ****. I said it when the app first came out. Great price got boxing fans. Horrible for the sport of boxing. Take a niche sport and put it on a niche app nobody knows about and people here thought that's a brilliant idea.

The media did a good job is stroking the egos of boxing fans telling them boxing is ahead of everyone else because streaming is the future. And these idiots bought it lol. No you dumbasses. The reason they picked boxing is because combat sports fans are the only sports fans who pay for content.

Canelo isn’t the face of boxing and this proves it!

If anything Pacquiao, Spence and Wilder has more legitimacy of being the face or faces of boxing!

Canelo has one classic fight to his name which is the second Golovkin fight while Pacquiao and Wilder have more than one under their belts!

People come to see knockouts and action packed fights that’s worth their time and money, Canelo doesn’t provide those anymore!

He’s on a historic level fight and it’s getting overshadowed by a fight between two men in a sport that mostly focuses on a all around arsenal vs being a master of a trade!

How is this sensible? These are two different audiences. There is little crossover between boxing & MMA. This is a boxing site. Go to the MMA section of this site. It's dead over there. The Lounge gets more activity. If there was a huge crossover that part of the forum would be jumping

If UFC felt that way, Dana White wouldn't be "vocal about Canelo-Kovalev not going up directly against Diaz-Masvidal on Saturday"

If DAZN felt that way, they wouldn't announce the main events wouldn't overlapped.
