Most of Mayweather's big fights never sold out either. Canelo vs. Cotto wasn't a sellout either and was still one of the biggest gates in Nevada's history. The crowd size is at least 100x bigger compared to Spence's grand arrival in LA and probably 200x bigger than Wilder's grand arrival when he fights Oldtiz in a few weeks. This fight will still be a huge financial success.

This guy from YouTube who is there just said the weigh in crowd looks a lot less than normal.
Canelo should have never signed with DAZN. In the business side, he should have rolled with ESPN or PBC. He would have made more money. But hey, it’s his 300 mil. Either way, I’ll be watching the great emperor fight tomorrow Live!

Full disclosure, I enjoy watching Canelo fight and I am a fan as well. But I feel the same, at least the majority of the time, for most any fighters when/if they put on an entertaining fight. I think it sucks to see a fight such as tomorrows, one that really should be drawing fans, because I think that all big fights which end up being successful, regardless of the fighters or the promoters or the etc's behind it are, in the long run, good for the sport as a whole. Here though, DAZN took a gamble on this fight which just so happens to be occuring in America, without either fighter being a citizen and without either fighter capable of speaking English well enough to assist in much of the American promotional campaign. HBO and Showtime frequently had success doing the same but those were long established TV channels capable of promoting an upcoming fight as much as they cared to. Where's the majority of DAZN's advertisement for fights and the app itself shown? Is it youtube? seems they are frequently doing things the hard way, tleast in the to GGG Canelo fights on HBO Abel was around to a LOT of talking. Fight isn't generating the interest in the way DAZN would wanting/hoping for here in the States but, as they're two non AMericans with fan bases that consist mostly of people from their respective homelands, it's a possibility the fight is generating the excitement needed to be successful in those areas. I don't read/speak Russian and ditto for Spanish, so if it is looking to be successful there, the majority here, myself included, wouldn't know nor even care to know. BUt, hey, I am a canelo fan, I am gonna watch the fight, let the possibility for flame begin

Seems more like the promoter's job than the broadcastor's, I reckon.

Shouldn't it be Hearn and De La Hoya bringing eyes to DAZN and putting asses in seats? Isn't that what they were paid by DAZN to do? Didn't DAZN buy the rights to their tops names so that the promoters of those names now promote for DAZN?

GBP takes this L, not Canelo, not DAZN. They both do their jobs. DAZN's got their cameras and **** ready. Oscar does not have the people ready to watch DAZN.

Only thing DAZN did poorly was get in bed with two of the ****tiest mother ****ers in boxing. Then again....Haymon and Arum ain't exactly choirboys. Poor DAZN, nothing but sharks out there.

How is this sensible? These are two different audiences. There is little crossover between boxing & MMA. This is a boxing site. Go to the MMA section of this site. It's dead over there. The Lounge gets more activity. If there was a huge crossover that part of the forum would be jumping
