    Of course it matters.

It was all kept hush-hush until now.

I suppose Canelo and his team want any edge they can get and who knows how this affects Kovs rehydration before the fight.
It might impead it it might mean nothing, I just don't think it should have been their if Nelo wanted to be honest in what he's doing.
Whatever though its done and now if Kov is one pound over Canelo gers more $$$.

Canelo restricted not only to 152weighin lbs, but 165 rehydration limit vs TUE-50-0.

90% of boxers even at the elite level do 10-15lbs water drains.

Therefore, if Canelo was 152 it was expected for him to be 162-165. Crawford could weigh 135 on the scales and 153lb on fight night. Fans over exaggerate.

Also Floyd may have been 150 on the regular scale. I think those were always strategized, just like Marquez still bulking up after his 143lbs weigh in against Pac’s 147lb scale weigh in. It’s what was done on Fight night. What was Pac’s weight vs Marquez’s weight on the ring on fight night? I’d say Marquez was 150lbs and Pac 151lbs.

Canelo was 170lbs on fight night against Angulo’s 174lbs in the ring

Lomachenko was restricted to 138lbs the morning of the fight against Rigondeaux. Guess what... Loma WAS 138lbs exact on the scale the morning of! Most likely Loma hydrated 3lbs of water in the Ring.

All that insecurity against a Super Bantamweight. The size difference between Rigo and Loma was the same as Mikey vs Spence or Canelo vs Kova!

The September 14th fight between WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO’s) and unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26 KO’s) will have no rehydration clause in the contract for their catch-weight fight at 152 pounds, according to Steve Kim.

If a fighter is 140 pounds for example before he gets in the ring, when he comes out of the ring, he weighs less

Not sure if you'd get that. 99% of the people on this forum literally know **** about boxing.

lol. you're not even being specific. 140lbs when exactly? ''walk around weight'' off camp, during camp, fight week, RING weight. Break it down son.

your last sentence you own yourself.

It certainly appeared that it mattered. Kovalev looked like he had almost no stamina at all.
