Telling it as it is, pretty simple to see the model that Canelo is using.

In between fighting the big names , he will fight a bum or two (e.g Fielding, Liam Smith, etc. )

Huge Canelo fan here but he will never have a win better than prime Manny Pacquiao. Morales is a living legend.

As a Morales fan, he’s right...sort of.

My thing is, what should he have been saying about himself when he returned to boxing out of shape, over the hill, and ready to take on every young lion?

Now he’s upset with a younger Canelo taking on older guys who are champs!? I mean, we all know Kovalev is on his last leg, but he’s still a unified champ taking on a smaller man.

The mere interest of this fight (size, power, etc) has been pushed and most just want to see what happens. What if Kovalev wins tomorrow, then what?

Erik’s my dude, but it seems as though every younger Mexican fighter who gets close to breaking veteran records, tend to get criticized by the vets.

Canelo’s fought just about everybody and the fighters that people say he won’t fight (Charlo, Andrade, GGG) wont even fight each other, so what does that say about them?

Instead of simply “giving” these guys a shot at him, he leveled up and fought a bigger guy for more money and a shot at being a 4-division champ.

Andrade has a belt and is boring as hell, Charlo was pretty much given the WBC title and GGG has almost resorted to begging for a 3rd fight while looking washed.

See thats all I been trying to say this is canelo destiny is fighting these type of fighters that are battle damaged. Erik is top 3 best mexican fighter if all time.

Indeed. He fought guys with more experience than him that were out of their prime like Mosley, Baldomir, Cintron, etc but he did fight some prime fighter in the likes of Lara, Trout, Kirkland, etc.

I know he has the PED thing but he gets way too much hate and others just defend him to death.

I do like the PED thing but I am fine with him.

Facts.... I like Canelo always have. But like PacFans get called a hater for not sipping the Kool-Aid.

****** and Salty comments. All of those fighters were still dangerous at the times he fought them and were still cash cows. Canelo is only 29 years of age as well. People forget that he is now in his prime, and fought those guys while he was still developing. Why don't they consider his maturity level as well when he fought them?

We did. When he was supposed to be knocking these old guys out, he was fighting them on even terms to paid off decisions. Every single move from this guy has been to maximize all advantages in his favor. There is enough sacrifice in boxing without this corruption.
