It's not unheard of to be cutting 25lbs to make weight Spence walks around 170 ish so does Kell Brook they're cutting 23lbs to fight 147 ...
That's not how boxing works. First off, Canelo is usually a gym rat, always in shape. One of the few boxers whom always shares physiques throughout the year with constant social media posting. You have to subtract, calibrate based on walk around to camp to the drain.

At Middleweight, Canelo cuts about 10lbs during camp.

185 - 10. 175lbs. 15lbs water drain, and he can hit 160. This basic procedure is what ALL BIG MIDDLEWEIGHTS do, that includes Charlo, Andrade and Jacobs, without question.

Then you've got the eye test alone, with fans and industry saying that Jacobs is even bigger than Canelo at 160. Tim Bradley and Andre Berto have said that Jermall Charlo is bigger than Canelo. I'd say they're about the same. Does this mean all these Middlweights are LHW's? Of course not.

Errol Spence is fat lately, walking around, even Crawford made fun of Spence. Though we're not talking fat like BJS. BJS has been seen splurging on the off season wan weighing 210lbs. There's pictures of that on google. Find ''Billy Joe Saunders fat.''

Spence probably about 180lbs max WHEN FAT, not a disciplined Spence at 170lbs max. Nevertheless, can shave off 20lbs of fat if need be during the camp, then from there drain for the weigh in.

Kovalev atm is already drained as we speak. Look how skinny he is at the presser. He just did and interview that he's dying to eat. After the weigh in Kovalev will splurge and rehydrate to 190lbs easily. And again, Kovalev right NOW looks significantly bigger than Canelo.

Canelo NOW looks about 5lbs more than this pic. As predicted, Canelo doesn't have to drain for this fight. He will be at optimal level. It's the same reason why Mikey Garcia could hold his own because not draining water gives you performance boost. This is common sense.

      this is ridiculous

guys insist that Canelo is a LHW because at some point he may weigh 175

completely forgetting that at the ONLY point that matters, he needs to weigh 160

wtf... so, making weight is an issue for everyone except for Canelo ?
