For many boxers, boxing is just a business now, not a sport. And in business, there is PR, marketing, propaganda. Remember that. But every once in awhile, the truth slips out, if you pay attention.

A big light heavyweight weighs 190lbs on fight night.

Canelo has not weighed 190lbs on fight night, ever, much less the last 3-4 years.

Look at the interview I linked. Canelo said he could weigh up to 190 vs Khan. Khan believes thats what happened. Many of Canelo's fight night weights are not made public so for all we know hes been 185+ multiple times in the ring.

LMAO. Yeah this one was a classic. Nobody ever cared for this interview because comprehension is key.

Canelo was being sarcastic. Lol. He said he doesn’t care if people exaggerate he will come in however he feels, could be 180 or 190. He then laughs after saying it.

Up to 35lbs of water to cut for Amir Khan. Lol.

A light heavy weight cant make 160 wtf are you talking about. LHW's are 190++ lbs fight night.

Yall dont realize that weight matters. Canelo will tire quicker dealing with a much bigger man. Anybody who spars knows this.

Not only is Kovalev the bigger man but he is also a very good boxer with arguably the best jab in boxing.

I see Kovalev keeping Canelo at the end of his jab and should win but we know he going to need a KO to beat Canelo in Vegas

Lol you have to be a complete idiot to think he weighs that much in fights. He is 5'8 to 5'9 at most. He is a thick dude but he would have to look like a damn strong man competitor to weigh 185 lbs at 5'8.

He probably weighs 170 to 175 fight night.

if you can make 160, then you are a middleweight

                stop being ridiculous

like I have always said... casual fans are clueless about styles/levels/weight

Dude don't fall for the bait. The last and biggest Middleweight to shock the scenes with weight rehydration was Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr. was bigger than Jacobs, Charlo, Andrade and Canelo at 160 on fight night. Chavez Jr. was like 20lbs+ on fight night. To put in perspective, when Chavez Jr. fought Canelo at 164lbs, Chavez Jr. was thinner than his fight night weights at 160.

the OP is an idiot doe. If a Middleweight could be in the ring at 190lbs, why would Virgil Hunter and Khan consider Golovkin when Andre Ward was active at 175? LMAO

Canelos definitely been a super middleweight for years now it's very very possible realistic that canelos usually about 185 normally and looking at the canelo that showed up against Fielding yes 185 sounds about right for a 5'8. It's not unheard of to be cutting 25lbs to make weight Spence walks around 170 ish so does Kell Brook they're cutting 23lbs to fight 147 when they're really junior or regular middleweight. In mma Jon Jones walks around at 220-225 and fights at 205 anthony Johnson broke the ultimate cutting record if such walks around at 230 fought at 170 super weight drained looked lackluster fought at 185 could make weight weighed in 187 multiple times so settled on 205 and was steam rolling everyone outside cornier who's and Olympic wrestler who used his grappling to get advantage. Point being cutting 25 lbs and rehydrating back 80-100% isn't unheard of and looks almost common amongst the weight bully's. Spence looks everybit of 170 fight night Porter looks 160-165 for a 5'6 personvin every fight. I would even say tank Davis probably is a good 150 something looks everybit of it and if it wasn't for Mayweather protecting tanks 0 tank would be fighting at 140 for sure.
