Well, that's now either the 5th or 6th time I've watched that fight. I guess if it was a circus, it was a circus in the best way. Perhaps you could give me a few short examples of what made it seem so bizarre to you.

I know the stoppage was a bit bizarre. Rigo's attitude like he was "feeling helpless" or something. Loma was playing up the holding to the Ref, to the point Rigo looked dumbfounded. Then finally, just the pure genius of Lomachenko and how he goes about fighting.
I do think there were just a few times where Loma seemed to push Rigo around a bit with size. But you know mainly this bout shows how Loma is a product of what happened in the Salido fight.
He saw how much the Ref can impact a bout, in that Salido match, he solicits and keep the ref's attention throughout the bout. I think deep down he feels cheated, and he'll never allow that to happen again.
He does try to gain favor with the Refs and get away with whatever is possible. - again learned in the Salido fight. - The animated pulling out of the clinch, and so forth.
Nothing Rigo tried worked, and he was frustrated. Whether his left hand injury was a huge factor, I don't know. But I do know Loma's footwork, pivoting, and feel of range with defense, was superior and is just generally off the charts good. I'm sorry, it just is.

Looked like a welterweight was fighting a middleweight.

The treatment of this man by the boxing public is disgusting.

What kind of fanbase gloats about beating a 5"5 40 year old jumping 2 whole divisions???

So, what was so circus about it exactly? We can't read your mind.

            - -Well, Rigomortis ducked at 126, so Loma moved up.

And Rigomortis ducked everyone else, the reason arum ditched him...

he quit and he was not taking much damage at the time. This was a fight that he wanted more than the man he was fighting wanted it.

I'm sure Rigo regretted quitting but he faked injury and quit on his stool. the boxing public's reaction was predictable and not totally unjust. You disagree??

There were so many fans saying Loma would never fight Rigo and that he will avoid him as he's nowhere near as good as people say he is. I was even a little sceptical as to how good he actually was, especially after the Salido fight. Then he got in there and just put an enormous exclamation mark on greatness as far as I was concerned.
^ This in a nutshell. Spot on. Good post

Rigo was totally outclassed start to finish. Notice how he even knew it was futile to call for a rematch. Every other credible fighter who loses from an injury wants a rematch asap.

Digging this one out after all this time is disgraceful. That's just something you have to tuck in. If that was a fighter who I like who humiliated a smaller, much older man, I would actually feel sorry for the older man. But I guess we're built differently.

Not my thread. I saw the thread and added my take on it. That is, for the most part, what we do here.
