    Successions

    ...

This is followed by a list of their current champions and the lineages, which I ain't gonna copy paste here, though the link is worth a look for anyone who's interested.

I ain't really given CBZ a lot of attention so I can't really comment on their stuff.
I appreciate it. This is more about what fans perceive than my own interpretations though.

CBZ is the old guard for lineal after Ring lost face. Once TBRB kicked off CBZ became, as far as lineal is concerned, a TBRB mirror.

They are to historical boxing what Boxrec is to modern boxing. An assortment of volunteers for record keeping partnered with an array of authors to keep fans interested. The only real difference is CBZ is considered more reliable than Boxrec, if i'm honest, most because they deal in history and history gets a bit of a false prestige, abd, their authors write history books not daily new articles.

I've not even begun to actually look into the link between CBZ and TBRB. I'm not sure I want to atm. My research deals most with Ring. I never thought of CBZ or TBRB as nearly as influential as Ring, but, when I made the polls no one complained Ring champions are not an option. No one complained about any sanctioning or ranking body or board but TBRB. I have to wonder if I should take them more seriously.

I never set out to, but, to do tend to follow a point of interest from the point in time when I took interest to the present then back to the origin. This time I already knew the origin and I'm really curious how we got to this point....where Fury can be stripped without losing in the ring and such.

If the lineal died when Jeffries retired why didn't it die when Corbet retired?
      - -Because Corbett early Queenberry days, so the boxing media had no way of contectualizing events without precedent. By the time of Jeff, they thought they had it figured, but anyone thinking Marvin Hart the new lineal champ is obviously 99 cents short of a dollar.

^ then crawford is the lineal welterweight champion. i am not hating anybody. it's just that if fury's 2 year retirement doesn't count then pacman's 6 months "retirement" doesn't count either (he was later defeated by horn and crawford beat horn).
