Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor Reflects on Prograis Fight, TV Scoring, Family, More

Josh Taylor can see clearly now. His marked right eye which was the result of real boxing, not too much make-up in a Rocky film, has opened back up again allowing him to see properly. The swelling has gone down, the celebratory high carries on and now the Scot has the eyes of the boxing world on him after his victory in a titanic super-lightweight battle against Regis Prograis on Saturday night.

Fantastic fight, though he seems to have such a chip on his shoulder, it's probably what drives him actually!

If you watch the sky broadcast, it was mainly the black pundits who had it for Prograis. Just saying....

Your mandatory the Thai Apinun Khongsong is coming for you Tart-Tomato. Your reign as unified champion at jr. welter will be very short Taylor, you might as well pack your bags for California U.S.A and cash-out against Jose Ramirez, before : Khongsong, Mario Barrios, or Subriel Matias knock you out!

And it came close to happening. The Tart-Tomato was hurt real bad, Josh admitted he got those hands at the post fight press conference -- they hurt, Taylor admit it. In the long run, this remarkable chin of Taylor only hurts boxers ; Taylor should think about retiring, for his own good.

                Prograis to knock him out

                Martin to knock him out
Postol to beat him (was that knock out as well 1hourRun?)

Mate, both fighters were obviously hurt and both showed fantastic sets of whiskers. You have to apply the same logic to both men, if Taylor should think about retiring for his own good then so should Prograis. For the record I think both are at least a few years away from becoming punch-drunk; let's let them enjoy their careers while it lasts, it's a young mans sport and the likes of B-Hop and Pac-Man are few and far between. Taylor and Prograis have more nights like that one to look forward to before they call time - hopefully a rematch at some point, even a 3 way tussle between them and Ramirez.
