That was a fantastic fight from every angle. The match up, the fight itself, how they got there, etc.

The fight lived to the expectations and both guys showed that they are on the top of the boxing world. Close fight that could had gone either way. Loved the fighting spirit that Taylor had and how Prograis rally in the last two rounds.

Yet you have some playing down this match up.

What a fantastic fight, it had me out of my seat!

Taylor has earned my respect as he’s proven me wrong twice now!

He’s the best at 140 but not by a lot as I think with some adjustments Prograis could win a rematch!

Hopefully we get Taylor vs Ramirez as that would be another classic war for the ages!

Brilliant fighter with a solid resume in under 17 fights, cong**** to him!

You have to apply the same logic to both men, if Taylor should think about retiring for his own good then so should Prograis. For the record I think both are at least a few years away from becoming punch-drunk; let's let them enjoy their careers while it lasts, it's a young mans sport and the likes of B-Hop and Pac-Man are few and far between. Taylor and Prograis have more nights like that one to look forward to before they call time - hopefully a rematch at some point, even a 3 way tussle between them and Ramirez.
Apparently you have not watched Regis Prograis career. Prograis does not get touched up like this often, Regis has never been badly hurt. The Tart-Tomato on the other hand is constantly put on *****-street on the verge of getting stopped -- Ive seen this since Josh stepped up against a shot 'Titere' Miguel Vazquez.

Regis Pro, has the skill-set to bounce back, Taylor only has size and a chipped chin that is still holding up, but not for long.

Do you know how desperate you sound to justify your disparaging remarks about Taylor before the Prograis fight? Every time you make a comment, you look ******er than the lost comment. It's obvious you mentioned a load of contenders, desperately hoping one of them has a chance against Taylor. What happened to Prograis? You were singing his praises like he was the man and would obliterate Taylor. You are arguably the most blatantly bias US fan on here who doesn't care how ignorant or uneducated you sound when time and time again, your predictions are wrong. You are a casual posing as a real fan who changes their favorite fighter on a fight by fight basis depending on if they win or not.

Are you for real? Yeah, the unified #1 super lightweight is gonna retire in the prime of his career. I'll bet you prey for that every night so that Taylor doesn't walk through more of your current favorite boxers. Go back to the circus clown.

That's just bitter American fans who can't handle the fact that Prograis lost against "Euro-bum" Taylor.

I am American and I am not bitter about it. Most people I know recognized that Taylor edged that fight and both guys are still very marketable.

Not only that Taylor wants to fight Ramirez so you have to respect that also. Now Ramirez taking that fight is another story.

If you are true boxing fan you can appreciate that fight. In the eighties there were a lot of these types of fight of two top young champs squaring it off. Now you have a lot of fighters protecting there "0" and looking for the path of least resistance.

For me this fight, from the build-up to the action and the class exhibited by both afterwards it's probably the best thing to happen in boxing for years. I was a fan of both coming in, I walk away a huge fan of both.

Taylor won it close, but it was clear enough. It surprised me that Prograis probably fought on roughly equal (or slightly better) terms when they boxed with some distance whereas Taylor was the boss inside when it became a battle. Coming in you felt Taylor's only shot was at distance, Prograis in close. Both fighters have been improving every fight and I've no doubt we'll see them get even better next year.

Taylor vs. Ramirez, alongside Crawford vs. Spence is the best fight in boxing. I think Taylor has a clear edge but it's a damn good fight because Ramirez also improves every fight. All these guys are great for boxing.
