Canelo's tainted reputation?

With Canelo popping dirty (twice) some time ago, and debatably having a reputation of picking and choosing weaker opponents e.g. old, out of prime big named opponents (Cotto, Mosley, GGG), or way under par opponents (Khan, Liam, Fielding etc.), and being named a Franchise champion which conveniently gave him the green light on not fighting Charlo or Andrade, along with not fighting elite fighters such as Beterbeiv, Callum Smith etc. Do you think Canelo's reputation is not the same anymore?

Hell no. Fighting kovalev even not in his prime is a big feat. Props to him
Golovkin will be an asterisk in my book unless he fights him again. Tainted meat will be living with him all his live. If he keep fighting clean I dont see any problem for future fights

Canelo has a great reputation amongst real boxing who aren’t underachieving crybabies! You see most ppl who knit pick Canelo are either racist white ppl or if you are Mexican hating on Canelo you have a huge inferiority complex and the rest of ppl who hate on Canelo are only doing so because they are backing another fighter who they happen to sympathize or like! But to be honest him popping dirty was the WBC blackmailing him into allowing them to participate in his boxing events. Most of us remember Canelo saying he didn’t want nothing to do with their novelty belt for the Chavez JR fight and for the ggg fight! This was the first time anyone ever put the WBC in their place but they ultimately won the war and persuaded him to work with them by having him pop dirty! Why is it that as soon as Canelo popped dirty Sulaiman went to the rescue and proclaimed him innocent? Ffwd to now Canelo is the franchise champ! Do you honestly think Canelo wanted to be franchise champ? Of course not! Canelo is way to proud of a boxer to be accepting a fake ass paper champ designation like that. Just remember how he fought ggg in the 2nd fight. What other boxer risks everything to prove ppl wrong like Canelo did? Ffwd to right now and it’s easy to see that Canelo is being blackmailed into being franchise champ, unlike Lomo who felt entitled and wanted to be franchise champ

that is the reality and no excuses. What’s also reality is that he never popped dirty for any of his fights NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Call it how it is

The bottom line is that peds temporarily enhance performance. They don't change your chin, IQ, or offensive/defensive skills. You are also making seem like Canelo tested positive during the fight. This was not the case and there is a huge difference. Further more, they were trace amounts meaning that they weren't even consistent with the normal use of the drug.

Making a new foo-king thread about this everyday clearly just signifies you all need mental therapy. I can imagine you all can barely sleep at night and your family life is unraveling with the amount of effort you all put into discrediting Canelo.

I totally agree. I think it is far from the race issue and all that. He popped dirty and a lot of him see him as a cheat and that he or his team or Golden Boy buys the judges off etc. But I cannot deny he is a great fighter definitely.

It sounds like you are saying Canelo is wonderful in every possible way and if anybody does not agree with you there is something wrong with that boxing fan and not Canelo. According to you Canelo does nothing wrong and everything right. Canelo is Mr. Perfect Man.
