Santa Cruz has been fed a parade of C+ opposition (he's ranked, blah blah ), and will certainly be CRUSHED inside of 4-5 rounds by Davis.

Santa Cruz is obviously the cable TUNE UP fight, to get Davis ready for a PPV with Mr Gary Russel l Jr, for Baltimore bragging rights.

They probably figure Russell is too big of a risk right now.

If you're looking at the mexican fanbase money for a PPV, Santa Cruz makes sense. From a competitive standpoint, it's a mismatch in talent and power.
