After accomplishing what he has before the age of 30....hard to see how he can be ''extremely'' overrated.

I agree totally overrated makes the OP sounds like a hater.

Overated? Look at his resume, it's the best in all of current boxers today and i'm not even a huge fan of the dude, facts are just facts. Even if you disagree with some of the results, at the very least, they were all close? And nobody else has tested themselves in such a way. The guy isn't even 30 yet

On this particular boxing forum?Overrated by many on this particular boxing board ? Hell yes he is. He has actual worshipers who think he is a God and even call him Godnelo Bossnelo and even Emperor Canelo. He is a good fighter but not as good as some on here make him out to be. I think he lost both fights to GGG in spite of being in his prime and over 8 years younger than the 36 year old GGG.

He has a close fight with every world level fighter he fights. he is elite level, but he hasn`t separated him self from other middleweights.

Terence Crawford became the first undisputed champion in years. Usyk became undisputed in a shark tank of a division, finishing it off with a boxing masterclass against a guy with one-punch KO power. Lomachenko's giving guys hell in his 3rd weight division, and toyed with nearly everyone he faced before getting up there. Canelo tends to either win a close match (Jacobs and Trout), or get gift decisions (Lara and GGG 1).

The thing about Canelo is that if you take his resume by its results and names on paper, it's future Hall of Fame material. However, once you add context behind some of those names and wins, you'd find that it's not quite as impressive. He's a very accomplished boxer for his age, but that's due in part to the corruption that works in his favor. Is he still a hell of a fighter despite all that? Very much so, but there are certain fighters I just can't put him above right now, because his record's not clean.

So Crawford would be 153lbs on fight night when he was at Lightweight. What was his “natural” weight?

Whom were Crawford’s best wins at 140? Postol and Diaz? For level of difficulty, whom are the Trouts or Lara’s for Crawford at Bud’s “natural” weight?

Bruh, the Canelo haters easily get murked!

He is very good. But yes, a few people are getting a bit carried away even if most of it's your regular NSB trolling bullchit.

Young Canelo was ouclassed by Floyd, was a bit better than Austin Trout, past prime lil Cotto and about on a par with Lara, prime Canelo was roughly on a level with a past prime Golovkin, though it's fair to acknowledge Canelo could still be improving.

So yes, being on a level with Lara and Golovkin - even a faded Golovkin - makes you pretty damn good, but no, for my money he's not he's just not one of those guys that are on a different level, although privilege, optimal matchmaking and great promotion are making him appear so.

He's quick, good to very good defensively (though nowhere near as good as the highlight vids will have it) and perhaps most importantly tough as nails with a great game face. His counterpunching is definitely top class, that's one area where he perhaps does seperate himself a bit, and he's excellent at throwing the kinda eye catching combos that score well... honestly it's a hard combination to beat convincingly (and with the judges onside that's the only way to beat him) and a very good all round package, even if there's no one thing that makes him elite.

The context and theory is based on opposition and difficulty.

So does Prime Canelo beat any of GGG’s opponents when the Kazakh was “Prime?”

Better yet, Canelo is somewhat considered PRIME now.

So does PRIME Canelo beat PRIME GGG?

I think Prime Canelo blasts out Rosado in 5 rounds. I mean Angulo murked Rosado in what, 2 rounds?
