I think he has a chance.

I’m not impressed with any cruiserweights currently and Szpilka is only 30 years old.

I think he’s a good enough boxer and he’s a damn good puncher for someone who’s going to be dropping down in weight.

I’m not predicting he’ll take over the division by any means and he might be shot at this point after some brutal knockouts. But I think the top guys will have to watch out for him.

Cruiser has never been stronger than heavyweight, they get paid the big bucks for a reason. Adamek could beat any cruiser & he struggled mightily at HW, Haye didn't exactly set the division on fire either, all it takes is 1 punch from these guys.

Idk how much Szpilka has left in the tank but he could easily break into the top 5 if he's not totally shot.

he can do nothing there and he can do it pretty well. eddie chambers who was a much better boxer thought it would be a good idea to go to cruiser but he got dominated. all his strengths like speed and agility that worked against bigger guys did not work. spilzka is already easy to hit against the slow guys so yeah no chance.

Dorticos left me unimpressed with how poor he lookes against a shot Edison Miranda.

Likely a solid move even if the money isnt as sexy. If he catches an L or two there should just move back up for the money or better yet gtfo.
