  • They are both the class of this division. Taylor edginig it doesn't bother me at all. Now on to one more fight for all the marbles.

    • My goodness what a fight! Hats off to both guys. FOTY imo. Truly lived up to the hype. I didn’t score it but thought Taylor won it on more effective aggression and cleaner, harder punching. Prograis looked done in the 10th and ready to go but stormed back like a champ in the 11th and had a great 12th too. I would have had no problem with a draw either but I can’t say I saw Prograis winning 7 rounds. That wasn’t a hometown cooking decision that was the slightly better fighter edging it although the 117-112 was too wide. Someone commented that Taylor’s size was a factor and I agree.

        • Cong**** to Josh Taylor with a great win!

He showed he wanted to win more and the willingness to do whatever it takes!

It came down to will to win and willingness to win and Taylor displayed those in aces!

I felt Prograis handicapped himself by not effectively switching from
Offense to defense and doing quality work!

He made Taylor miss lots of shots but also still was getting hit with a lot of shots!

I didn’t like how each time he had Taylor hurt he let him off the hook, usually he’s a great finisher but tonight his instincts to go for the kill wasn’t on!

When he finally focused less on defense and more on offense in the last 2 rounds he was having lots of success!

He did great bodywork which is what made Taylor tire in the 12th!

Prograis is a player but needs to work on that!

Now we get Taylor vs Ramirez for all the marbles, I’m picking Taylor but Ramirez is a somewhat bad style match up for Taylor due to his strength, stamina, relentless pace and he goes for the kill whenever he has you hurt!

Great fight and hope they get it done next year!

            • Great fight. I picked Taylor to edge it out. Right man won. Although I do think Ramirez comfortably beats either...

Yes, but look at Taylor`s face. Prograis did it pretty good in last 2 rounds.

I thought he was getting beat up in many rounds. He was hurting during the inside fighting especially and he wisely tried to create distance and try to box in the late middle rounds. But even then, Taylor would force an inside fight and push the pace..a pace that Prograis seemed to be uncomfortable with.

Nah, man Run's a good dude, one of the most genuine boxing fans on here... I just take his OTT flag waving as a bit of fun. You'll notice he never actually gets malicious with it or anything like some of the goofballs on here.

                    • The 114-114 score was spot on, I had Taylor up by 2 points after round 10 but Prograis winning the last 2 definitely made it a draw.
The 117-112 score was way off but that's to be expected for the hometown boy.
