Your obsessive boxing heads on here know that Yuriorkis is basically shot to hell, but your average fan will hear the name Gamboa and still remember some of the hype from when he was terrorising the lower divisions the better part of a decade ago.
Still. Ain't complaining too much, it actually probably represents a step up for Tank compared to his recent opposition.Comment

Yuri would be Tank's most accomplished opponent but at 38 Yuri is well past his fresh by date.Comment

Let's get this fight out of the way already so Davis can move on to bigger and better things.
Hopefully he will be busier next year. It would be nice to have him do 3 or 4 fights in 2020.Comment

Some say that power is the last thing to go, but in fact it's probably a guy's name...

The most exciting ....biggest attraction - Lol hilarious!! Tank vs a way past his prime weak-chinned Gamboa - par for the course per Floyd’s Tank protection plan!!! Few more years and Loma will b ripe for the picking for Tank!!Comment

difference is usyk fought every top guy at cruiser before moving up. tank fought no one and now he's fighting no one again.
a more apt comparison would be what if usyk won a belt off the weakest champ at cruiser, defended for 3 years against bums, then moved up and headlined a card against a bum. people run out of patience. its been 3 years.Comment

Unfortunately they’re already talking about a ppv vs Santa Cruz. Not that Santa Cruz is a bad fighter, but dude is a fw and tank is now a lw. Bigger better things it is not.Comment
