Well I think we can agree to disagree. From the reports i've read and interviews i've seen, Ortiz turned down paydowns on multiple occasions to fight Whyte, even as recently as march 19, but ortiz declined again. Given their history, Whyte is clearly the type to fight all commers, Ortiz has 2 fights (Jennings and wilder) and he's 40 years old. That seems quite compelling evidence by itself.



If you could link me to the source of Ortiz reportedly making $7.1+ million dollars for the wilder fight, i'd love to read it.

Everybody knows Whyte offered Ortiz a headline PPV spot in the UK that would earn both fighters a fee in its millions but Ortiz (or his dodgy team) claimed they would rather have it on a PBC undercard for 200k.
