why do the foreigns...

AJ is only as popular as he is because of the 2012 Olympics. Winning gold in London made him a superstar overnight in Britain and he was on every TV station doing interviews for weeks and months after. He would have been popular without London 2012, but nowhere near this scale.Comment

Who would you root for if you flipped them? Let’s say Joshua is a PBC then and the British Wilder is a Hearn guy.have such a hard time understanding that if you flip flopped wilders and AJs accents and places of birth you would also flip flop their money and popularity?
why do the foreigns act as if AJs style is so entertaining and hes so charistmatic that this is what put him ahead of wilder as far as global popularity and money?
wilders money and popularity(which is very good btw) is a reflection in the lack of interest in boxing in the US...that is all...plain and simple
and wilder is doing pretty well.....between fury fight and ortiz 2 fight hes bout to make about 30 mil in a year and a half.....how many US boxers that are active have made that in a career?Comment

england blows at the world cup every 4 years. they needed something else to fill teh void, and eddie hearn made a ton ofmoney off of it.
the reason you don't see americans dominating at HW [and the reason HW sucks and has for years,] is that talented americans, 6'7" guys who would run circles around wilder and [probably even hit harder in a few cases,] all get 50-100 million dollar NBA contracts.Comment

Luke Campbell also won gold at the 2012 Olympics and he did more interviews than Josh. He also had more spotlight on him and was more popular than Josh after the Olympics. Why isn't he as big as Josh now?AJ is only as popular as he is because of the 2012 Olympics. LMAO. Yanks have to be the dumbest and most delusional people on earth, lol.
So it's the accent now? The same accent you lot used to call soft? LMAO. You can put a lipstick on a pig, it won't change what it's. I'd even wager that the accent is what's holding AJ back and if he had been an American - he would've been as big as Mike Tyson was in his prime. He has that type of starpower.
Conversely, if Wilder had been a Brit, with all the bums he has fought throughout his career and how obnoxious he's - he won't be half as popular as he's today. And he's not even that popular. He might get some regional fans but nationally, he'd have a lesser pull than Calzaghe in his prime. His resume is atrocious and Brits aren't mugs.
AJ had to swim in the deep end from early to get to where he's, despite how he's a marketing goldmine. Without those early big fights (which Wilder is yet to take in his career) - Brits would've turned on him time ago. Yanks are more lenient and a lot of yanks have guilt when it comes to their black population, hence they don't critique Wilder openly. And that's why he has thrived in the US. AJ won't get away with Wilder's resume out here - the media would've destroyed him time ago.
This is just as ludicrous as the idiots who think Wilder would sell out Wembley. LMAO. These ****** yanks must think Brits are mugs. Look at the last two Matchroom cards at o2 which are supremely loaded with boxers that draws in the UK (Dillian Whyte card and the card tomorrow), yet neither has sold out. Even the Lomachenko and Campbell card that allegedly sold out performed terribly at the box office. Put some respect on AJ - he's just different. He's the most talented in the HW division and the best athlete in boxing by a mile - apart from his starpower. Some just have it - others don't. AJ also made the scumbag Hearn who he's.Comment

You're talking **** as usual. Campbell has never been as popular as AJ. He was popular with little girls for a few months but never had anywhere near the amount of promotion that AJ had.Comment

Leading up to the Olympics and after the Olympics before they both turned pro - Luke Campbell was more popular than Josh. Even during the Olympics, Luke Campbell was the guy. So why are you saying Josh wouldn't be as popular without the gold medal when Campbell also has a gold medal, yet he isn't a draw?
Also, your point about interviews is null and void. The captain of the team GB boxing team was Tommy Stalker and he did the most of the interviews. Then Campbell was the 2nd most interviewed.
And what promotion did AJ have when Matchroom boxing didn't even have that much money when they signed him. They offered him the least money and they didn't even have a proper office until AJ blew up and had only about 3-4 employees. I remember AJ used to train in the back garden of the Hearns. So where did this huge promotion whimsically come from when most of Barry Hearn's resources was directed at other sports Matchroom was involved in and the Hearns were one leg out of boxing?Comment
