How can PBC fans say they hate Loma, etc, for being "protected" but support Tank,etc?

When did GRJ become the boxer of the black community? All I remember prior to the Loma fight was how GRJ was an overhyped bum who hasn’t fought anyone. Nothing’s changed since the loss to Loma. GRJ still hasn’t fought anyone.

Gary Russell Jr. is an A-level boxer. He dont fight often but hes still really good. His best win to date was Joseph Diaz, damn good win. He also KO'd Jhonny Gonzalez for his belt and has defended it 5x's. Dont discredit Russel because he lost to Loma, Russel is still a lower A level boxer, he is just small and likely maxed out in weight, but his handspeed will always keep him in fights with bigger guys.

Oh and I hate to answer a question with a question but when was Gary Russel Jr not apart of the black boxing community? He is a black boxer with a large DC black fanbase. Odd how someone can take that out of context when I just keep it real...

It really is a race thing. Salido and canelo not being enough to hold a victory over loma and golovkin. They want them to lose to a black fighter like davis, haney and charlo or andrade.
They were over the moon when ward got the gift over kovalev

It is and who cares really, most go for what they relate to. I usually go for Mexican American fighters, but I will go for "Semper Fi" Herring because we are Marines. Andy Lee was one of my favorites because he wore a Catholic Crucifix to the ring...

Its like why do all white Americans go for Russian and Eastern Euro's? Because they're white, duh...

He’s not an A level boxer. He’s a good boxer with hand speed and some pop. He has no defense and very little ring IQ. He doesn’t slip punches well he mostly stands there with his guard hi. So he can’t get off when he’s being engaged. That’s the difference between a good boxer and a great boxer.
