No I'm not going to ignore them but the oddsmakers agree with me not you. The odds are 4 1/2 to 1 on Alverez winning. If anyone is delusional it's you.

any other MW will not be favored over kovalev... ggg was the only one with shot due to his iron chin, but after watching his fight vs dervy i wont give him that chance anymore...
no other MW has the skills combined with the chin to beat kova, none... thats how good canelo is... still i wouldnt bet high money on this fight regardless of the odds... kova has he power to stop canelo if he lands... it only takes one punch sometimes...

canelo is favored cuz he has the chin and the skills plus the style... the only other mw with the chin to fight at 175 is ggg but after watching him go life and death with dervy i doubt that real knowleageable fans will favor him over kova...

cut it out, there are about 7 fighters from 160 - 175 that would likely be favored to beat 36 yr old Kovalev fighting on only 10 weeks rest , but more importantly, there are 7 fighters in those same weight classes who wouldn't open up as 4-1 underdogs vs Canelo. He's not taking on anywhere near the biggest threat available to him no matter how you want to spin it.

It’s a good fight and to be fair to Canelo he isn’t necessarily choosing Kovalev because he’s the weakest champ at 175 but because he’s a name.

Popularity-wise, Kovalev is one of the two best choices available to Canelo and Canelo doesn’t want the other for whatever reason you choose to believe.

any top MW like GGG, Derevychenko etc would KO Kovalev inside 6 rounds max. They usr didn't have the money to make this fight unlike redballs
