LOL at these comments... love em.

No, not about to lay any money, points, or my existence on Boxing scene on this fight, but so long as the conspiracy theories are not true, I will walk out on the tree limb by myself. I got Kovalev. I think Alvarez is special, but Kovalev has made adjustments to his game since the Ward fights. Yes, fighters have still gotten to him but I do not think Alvarez has the power to take full advantage of that. Sergey has had some stamina issues and taken rounds off, but so has Alvarez and he will be at his heaviest weight ever, never an advantage for longevity in a fight. Kovalev is fighting at his weight, his power will be better, and he has tons of big fight experience so the moment will not push him to mistakes. Throw in one last thought: This may be Kovalev's last real chance to rewrite his legacy after the Ward fights. He has to know unifying the 175 divisions against these young guns is not likely. This is it.

Nothing but respect for Alvarez for doing this at 175 and not a catch weight. A UD for Alvarez is very possible and I get him being the betting favorite. But IF everything is on the up and up, and I do not buy into that it isn't, I like Kovalev.
