It’s a power struggle and the wbc is worried that they’ll lose their significance and sanctioning fees.
Bit more than just the Olympics I think, though I'm sure he doesn't like anything that might draw the spotlight from his prized assets. For Suliaman the spectre of semi-pro boxing such as the WSB represents an almost existential threat. My guess is he wants to nip that ish in the bud before people get any ideas. The sanctioning orgs would be fucked if ABA start messing around allowing pro-Boxers into an international system of proper rankings and regular paid tourneys instead of the privilege and favourism that currently drives the money making machine of pro-boxing.

For sure the ammys has been riddled with problems of it's own (which the influencers of the pro boxing world have been very keen to highlight as if their own house is in order), but it's still far, far better than the fractured, nepotistic bullchit of the pro-sport when it comes to making sure the right fights get made in a timely manner.

My god, y'all a bunch of *****es.

It doesn't matter if the WBC had ulterior motives, prs not being amateurs is obvious as ****. "But him dirty doe" "But him don't really care doe" is not a ****ing reasoning to back the absurdity that is am-pro fights.

They're ****in' leagues man. There's almost no chance in pro ball sports ****s hurting kids, they play with kids all the time, they still shouldn't be allowed in kids leagues. It's ****ing lame and you ***** asses who have something against the WBC what justify it are even lamer.

limp wrist ass ***** mother ****er who wouldn't speak to me in person 'cause yer such a balless **** even through the internet you manage to be a *****, *******.

And on the other are the medical points of view, which they affirm that there is an abysmal difference between the body of an amateur and a professional fighter and it can be dangerous to match them.
What a bull****. If true please post the Medical study where they have compared amateurs and pros.

+90% of the professionals are cab/truck drivers/construction workers who earn a few extra 100 dollars every 2-3 months. You can´t talk about professional boxers like they are all the same.

Almost all top amateur teams are state sponsored full time boxers who compete every month travelling all over the World to compete with the best.

There are so many pros who came back and fought in WSB, APB and now regular "amateur" and almost all of them are losing before the medal rounds.
