If I was Oscar Rivas I wouldn't sign with Matchroom Boxing in a million years. That was absolutely de****able and disgraceful what Eddie Hearn did to him.

He knew that his fighter was juiced to the gills by popping dirty for performance enhancers drugs and failed to notify both him and his team about it.

Eddie's conduct in this case, was both repugnant and unethical. He could have gotten Rivas seriously hurt in that fight.

... Maybe I'm slow, but if Whyte pissing hot and Matchroom Sport covering it up has already gotten Whyte stripped of the mandatory, why would GYM sign Rivas to either offer, from Top Rank or Matchroom Sport?

Deontay Wilder is WBC champion, he has the Ortiz rematch in November, and Wilder has a tentative date to fight Fury again in early 2020.

Wilder gets through those two fights in style, and Wilder-Rivas is a pretty straightforward fight to make for the summer (with a likely bag from Montreal) if the full unification fight can't be agreed to after the Ruiz-Joshua 2 winner settles the mandatories.


Rivas gets his record cleared for Whyte pissing hot, Rivas becomes WBC mandatory, he gets a date for Rivas-Chisora (or something at that level) as his tickover fight from Montreal, and fights Wilder in the summer 2020 on PPV.

I'm not in his pocket, but the offers got to be some sizable payday for Michel to give up a seemingly more direct Wilder path to then be stalled out as an option for a rebuilding Fury, or be the 4th most viable fight for the Ruiz-Joshua 2 winner.

Obviously Hearns wants Rivas so he won’t get sued and plus he’s a solid good fighter with possible Canadian fans backing him!

Top Rank needs him cuz they’re heavyweight round up is limited and need more fighters for their card slots!

Go with who guarantee’s the most money and a faster chance to a title shot!

DAZN is probably offering more money but Top Rank can get him a title shot quicker with a couple of their fighters at mandatory status for the belts and they’re winnable fights for Rivas!

Hopefully he's smart and chooses TR. They have a great track record of building fighters correctly, unlike Hearn who has a hapless organization with matchmakers who are clueless and a network that is on wobbly legs ready to get KTFO in December in Saudi Arabia.

I hear you on TR being great at developing fighters but Rivas is already 32, he might want to choose the fast track and choose whoever can bring the "money fight" the fastest. We'll see.
